We’ve finally made it past the long week, the hustle, and the bustle. Its FINALLY time to celebrate.
For the next week and a half the time is ours. Ours to share love with our families, our friends, and especially each other.
In eight days we will be together to close out our most amazing year together, and kick off our best one yet.
You have been my greatest pleasure this past year, and I can’t thank you enough for how wonderful you are.

Advent #17
We rekindled our love relationship a year ago
And after drinks and a promise, there was no way we would say no
We ran in Disney a few weeks later
And from then on out became full-time maters
Even though we are miles and miles apart

Time together has been spent in Chicago, New York, and Florida to name a few
and every time we’re together we stick like glue
Going our separate ways never gets easy
So to beat the sadness we make sure we keep it cheesy
One day soon we will live in the same city
And man, oh, man we will be extremely giddy
Until that day comes around
We will continue our love by flying from town to town.

It doesn’t seem right to only spend one day each year celebrating the best thing to happen in the past 25. And while 3 days isn’t much better - it’s a start.
After a couple missed birthday celebrations, I decided I couldn’t let another one pass without being by your side. Karly and Christina must have felt the same way and showed up* to make this year’s birthday special. A nice dinner followed by a hopping party at your place on Saturday got the week long birthday celebration kicked off right. And while the nights were filled with food, alcohol, dancing, and a million laughs; the times I cherished the most were the days we were able to mossy around town together.
You amaze me in the way you can make the most normal walk back to your apartment into the most magical time of the day. You amaze me in the way you make running 8 miles on a hangover as enjoyable as it was. And you amaze me in the way you make my heart race every minute I spend with you.

Saving Sandy
As thousands of people lost power and water and their homes because of Hurricane Sandy, we were extremely lucky to be able to spend that time together in Chicago. After a great weekend, back where we met, in Dallas, my flight back to NYC got cancelled and I did everything in my power to get myself to Chicago to be with the person I wanted to spend my next few days off of work with. YOU. And I did! Lucky enough you were there with open arms welcoming me into your cozy apartment in chilly Chicago.
This trip to Chicago was different than any of our previous trips there together. It wasn’t a weekend filled with a go-go-go mentality. It was a little taste of what it would be like living together (me sans a job). Living in different cities we talk about our daily routines. You have been with me to experience mine in NYC. This time I got to experience yours. You talk about how you get on the bus to head to work and take strolls during work and I always picture where you are but I finally got to live that life with you for a few short days. From driving you to work, to getting coffee together, to grabbing lunch, to picking you up every day – I loved every second I got to see you and spend with you. While you were at work I tried to make use of my time but I really just wanted to be with you every second. I would count down the hours and minutes until you could finally leave work and we could start our day together.
My flight was supposed to leave on Wednesday morning back to NYC but on Tuesday I got a call saying it has been rescheduled to Thursday morning. Normally, someone would be livid and just want to get home. Not me. I was thrilled to be able to spend another day with you! We made every second together worthwhile. Thank you for being the best boyfriend a girl could ask for. Thank you for being you. I love you and I hope one day soon we can do this on an everyday basis. It made me realize I want it more now than ever.
Back to Lovers Lane
For the first time since our junior year, we returned to Dallas as a couple. I think everyone we saw knew we are together, but if they didn’t it probably didn’t take them too long to figure it out. Even we have seen each other a lot throughout the month; there is nothing better than being together. When we are together it is impossible to hide the happiness you give me, and the love I have for you.
As always, the time shared together will be remember for the good times we had like hanging with Christina, the boulevard, Barley house, Rio room and countless others.
